I don’t often get the chance to take Maternity photos, but when I do, I’m always so pleasantly surprised and how fun and easy they are! They are filled with so much love, naturally, as such a special moment is being captured.
Stacey is a close friend of the Chambers family and had seen the maternity photos I had taken for them! She reached out to me to last second to have her maternity photos taken and it went something like this… “I’m being induced in a week, have my hands full with two kiddos, and completely forgot to book maternity photos!”. Haha! I love how crazy life can be, and I was definitely on board!
We planned the maternity session at the Seal Beach Pier for the only day that would work for both of us. The day started out beautifully! Clear and full of sunshine. But as I drove the 15 minutes from my house to Seal Beach, the weather drastically changed as a thick fog rolled in!!!
Personally, I got excited at the thought because it’s not often that I get to shoot in the fog and it creates such a beautiful ethereal effect in the photos, but I was worried that Stacey had her heart on a golden sunset at the beach! I texted her to give her the heads up, and she was cool as a cucumber… “that sounds great to us! We trust you!”. Ahhhh… I love when clients trust my vision, and I’m so happy with how these came out! How beautiful is the fog?! And how cute are Stacey’s bump and her sweet little family?!
