Pasea Hotel Wedding in Huntington Beach

Pasea Hotel Wedding in Huntington Beach

How the Bride & Groom met...

From the Bride- Ed and I met each other at an ad agency in Santa Monica – he was a freelancer on a project I was working on. He was very obvious in showing his interest towards me, and it was a bit sad when the whole agency ganged up against him to leave me alone. His persistence really wore me down, so after 9 months of being on a project together, I caved and had drinks with him. I found out he was really funny, sweet and a genuinely great guy to everyone he met so I figured I’d stick around to see what would happen.

How he proposed...

From the Bride- We were on vacation with our best friends in Kauai, HI. Ed was secretly working with the hotel to organize the proposal so he would make up really odd reasons to keep slipping away. We decided to meet up with our friends for drinks by the beach, and as we were walking down, we detoured to this closed-off cabana. It happened to be under our friend's name who was starting their company at the time which made me think they were super ballers. When the two hotel guys opened the cabana doors, I saw one bottle of champagne, only two chairs, and orchids on the floor that read “Marry me”. I was really confused. It didn't dawn on me that Ed was proposing until he was down on one knee with a ring box.

What was the inspiration behind your wedding day?

From the Bride- We love everything about the beach. We’re also really relaxed people who don’t really fuss about the unnecessary details of our wedding day. We just wanted our wedding to feel like a fun house party (hence the gold cups for the wedding beer pong) with our most loved family, friends and dogs.

How did you decide on Pasea Hotel as your wedding venue?

From the Bride- We were looking at wedding venues by the beach and my sister told me to check out Pasea Hotel for our wedding venue. It fit our modern, beach vibe aesthetic so perfectly.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

From the Groom- My favorite thing about Christine is her smile, and when she lip syncs Cardi B.
From the Bride- My favorite thing about Ed is his humor and extremely kind personality.

Any advice for Brides planning their Wedding Day?

From the Bride- Take it easy, and don’t forget to have fun! Also, get a wedding videographer! I almost cheaped out on getting one but my friends and family told me I’d regret it if I didn't capture that day. It’s so fun to get to rewatch that day because it goes by so freaking fast.
