Palisades Park Engagement Session in Santa Monica

I absolutely love when couples choose a location for their engagement session that has sentimental meaning to them. For Shenel & Hassan, that place was Palisades Park in Santa Monica, just a few blocks from their home together.

I met up with this sweet couple at the park and they warned me over and over again about how awkward they are in front of the camera- a claim I hear all too often. I reassured them I would make them comfortable in front of the camera and walk them through everything throughout the engagement session, but deep down I knew these two would be no problem at all. Wouldn’t you know it, they had the most insane chemistry I’ve seen in a long time. I barely had to direct them!!! Shenel & Hassan absolutely light up around each other and I was able to capture so many sweet smiles, cuddles, and full blown laughs. Engagement sessions are FUN!!! But these two made it even more fun with their infectious smiles.

Engagement Session- Palisades Park, Santa Monica

Before we made our way to the beach, Shenel and Hassan had one request- “could we stop by our apartment two blocks away and take a couple photos outside to remember our first home together?”. Ummm… ABSOLUTELY!!! As I said before, I love when we get to add sentimental personal touches to couples’ engagement sessions.

We timed it out perfectly and made our way to the beach in Santa Monica, just below Palisades Park to catch the most perfect sunset and a few more beautiful engagement photos. Shenel and Hassan- thank you for letting me capture your beautiful love story! I feel so blessed to have gotten to know you both!
